The 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse lineup is largely unchanged for model year end. This sporty car comes as a hatchback coupe 2-door GS, GS Sport and GT trim. Also offered is the convertible Spyder GS Sport and GT trim; this model has over soft power. GS and GS Sport has a 162-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. GTS has a 265-horsepower 3.8-liter V6. GS hatchback is available with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Sport automatic is standard on the GS. A 5-speed automatic is standard on GT and GT Spyder, there’s no manual transmission offered. Safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags (on coupe only), and the front-side airbags.
